Occupancy Permits
Please be informed that the Borough of Hellertown does not require an Occupancy Permit when the occupancy of the structure has not changed. The Borough does require an Occupancy Permit on all new construction and where the occupancy of the structure has changed, i.e. conversion of structures into apartments.
Moving Permits
Please be advised that a Moving Permit is required when moving in, out, or around the Borough. The cost is $5.00.
Garage and Yard Sale Permits
The Hellertown Borough residents must apply two weeks in advance for garage and yard sale permits at a cost of five dollars per day. The sales will be limited to two days each year at any one location or address.
Building Permits
Permits shall be required before any development, new construction, reconstruction, enlargement, alteration, or relocation of any building or structure is undertaken in a flood prone area.
